Trackball Optical 1.0 Ps2 Imac
I have 3 of the Trackball Optical 1.0 (PN X05-87475) and love them. As a US Navy Sailor, I find them to be invaluable when on ship, where space is at a premium. There have been times where the laptop takes up the entire desk space and I have the trackball attached by Velcro to a special support strapped on my leg.
Hello one and all, my first post here, I just bought a Used Trackball Explorer 1.0 PS2/USB Compatible Mouse and I have been looking for the correct drivers to download & install. My OS is Win7 x64 Fresh install.From what I have found so far I found & downloaded these files - IPx6410338.01.249.0 Also IPx6410338.0.225.0 as well as IP64Eng from a none MS web site.And I just want to make sure that I install the correct drivers, and concidering this an old mouse that MS no longer sells, it is still a highly sought after product. And getting it new with a driver disc, is for the most part just abount not an option,if I could I would have, and it would have made finding the correct / updated drivers much easier.Any assistance I could get would be much appreciated.ThanksAndre.

This is the eighth Kensington trackball device that I've happily owned over the last 20± years. Having just purchased my 10th Mac—the new iMac 21.5', 3.2 GHz—I naturally 'tried' Apple's new wireless bluetooth mouse.
Interesting, kind of cutsey, liked the finger-on-surface-scroll feature, BUT still a 'mouse' that required too much physical desktop space and use of several shoulder, elbow, wrist, and finger gestures. Frustrating and painful to a 70-year old with bursitic shoulder and arthritis in all joints.!My third day of use of the new computer saw me 'migrating' my Kensington Expert Mouse from the adjacent iMac G5 machine to my new one.
Two hours later, after using all of the familiar strokes and button clicks I was again re-sold on the Kensington device and I called MacMall and ordered yet another trackball. In the graphics and publishing business and often on a computer for 16-hr. Days, there is absolute no question that the Kensington trackballs are the least injurious of all input devices (including trackpads) to serious computer users!!! Given my hereditary arthritis problems, I attribute my lack of any 'repetitive stress injury' medical visits over the last 20+ to the Kensington trackballs.One feature that they've added in recent years is that delightful foam wrist pad that attaches to the aft end of the housing. It provides 'comfort' personified and I'm surprised they don't show it in the MacMall photos.? This product is a joy to use and in the one or two instances where I've had a small problem with earlier versions, a simple, quick call to a 'live voice' at Kensington has seen a new waranteed unit arrive within two days!
